Make a potion using about twelve grams of these holy basil leaves, boiling them in half a liter of water. This should be given twice daily with half a cup of milk, one teaspoon of sugar and a quarter teaspoon of powdered cardamom (chhoti elaichi) to the diseased. This will help in bringing down the temperature.

Good home remedy for common fever - Make this extract by soaking 25 raisins in ½ a cup of water and grinding them in the same water. Strain the potion and discard the skin. Preparing in such a way turns normal raisin water into a great healthy tonic. Add ½ a teaspoon of limejuice to the extract for betterment in results. Take this two times a daily. The extract from raisins is another helpful way in the treatment of common fever.

Homemade recipes for common fever

Effective home remedy for common fever - Take 10 grams (one-tablespoon) raisins and 10 grams (one tablespoon) fresh ginger. Crush and put in 200-ml. water for one hour. Boil this decoction till the water reduces to 50 ml. Strain and drink while warm. This will cures the common fever.

Natural home remedy for common fever - Boil water and add the following to prepare a decoction: tsp of turmeric powder, some ginger pieces, onion pieces, lemon grass, half a tsp of black pepper, 5-6 tulsi leaves. Drink this decoction thrice a day to bring down fever.

Traditional natural home remedy for common fever - Take cool bathes, fill a bath tub, submerge and lay down for 5' approximately. Repeat as needed until the fever is down.

Drink as much water as you can in order to replace fluid loss. It will also help to bring down body  temperature.

Drinking the juice of the leaves of tamarind (imli) with some turmeric (haldi) powder and cold water to get rid of infections and fever

Small amounts of whole grain bread or biscuits can be taken with milk. Heavy foods that are difficult to digest like fried foods, fast foods, meat, chicken, fish, and raw foods should be completely avoided.
