Effective home remedy for sunburn - apply regular yellow mustard to the burn. Once it dries, wash it off and this will prevent it from blistering. It really does work. I have trusted in this remedy since I was a teenager.

You can buy aloe vera lotions, but many doctors believe that the natural gel from the plant works best.

You can also buy pure gel from your local pharmacy.

Make a paste of barley, turmeric and yogurt in equal proportions.

Coconut oil and sandalwood oil have cooling properties and therefore are effective on burnt skin.
